I live in Sun City, Arizona, where I work part-time as a church secretary and where I hibernate in my creative cave to write inspirational and devotional material. Because of my passion for personal retreats, I have created and presented retreats for church support staff and women’s groups throughout the U.S.
When I am asked why I write, I say: "I write because I have to get my thoughts down on paper." God gifted me with communication skills and I believe God wants me to share these gifts with anyone struggling spiritually or with those who need a boost of inspiration to get through the day. I write about what I know best which includes raising a family, working over 20 years in the church office, and from the year-long marriage therapy my husband and I went through after being married 39 years. I use scriptural references to encourage my readers to go to the Bible for more insight into their faith journey, and I rely on my sense of humor to make my stories and presentations fun to read.
To get away from my cave, my husband and I travel in our motor home coast-to-coast to visit one daughter and her husband in California and another one who lives with her son and husband in New Jersey. We stop along the way to visit family members, friends, and as many state and national parks as possible. We are blessed to have a son and granddaughter in the Phoenix area and our church family at Peace Lutheran Church in Peoria, Arizona.
