Autobiography
My name is Donnie Jackson; writer of Poetic Love Letters & More. I was born on the island of Jamaica on December 31st, 1955 to Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Jackson. I’m the third of seven children, five sisters and one brother. I grew up in Jamaica and migrated to New Jersey, in the United States, in July 1974 where I still live with my wife of thirty three years as of last September 11th.
I started writing song lyrics in the early eighties, and I also written a couple of poems; “Life” and “It’s Not Funny” but it wasn’t until around 2006 when I started writing more and more poems on a regular basis, based on events and situations surrounding my everyday life, and the lives of friends and loved ones.
I never really considered myself a poet, but every time written another poem and share it with my friends; they would always ask me when I was going to publish a book. Well that time is now and the book is called “Poet Love Letters & More. I hope you enjoy reading my poems as much as he enjoys writing them.
