A dream came true working in the accounting management field at a major brewery in Golden, Colorado. I enjoyed my occupation for nearly 30 years, and enjoy yet today taste-testing our product.
Prior to my brewery adventure, Uncle Sam invited me to a four year journey. He wanted to show me the world and I saw more than I wanted to see. It started with a tour across the Atlantic to Europe, traveling to over 16 countries. That was followed by a flight across the very-long Pacific where I was greeted warmly in Saigon, So. Vietnam. I survived the year and returned to my wife, we had married six weeks before I shipped over to Vietnam.
Retired from the beer business, I was fumbling around for a few years enjoying the time off, traveling, golfing and fishing. One evening, almost ten years ago, my Alma Mater invited me to participate in a college level history class discussing war experiences. After the class, the professor told us we should sit down and write up our remembrances before they were forgotten. Well, I sat down and started typing, and I have been typing ever since. I love getting up at 0400 hours with another great idea. I set aside five years to write my first book, a book partially based upon my personal experiences.
And that brings me up to the present where my first book, "Cold War Burning," was released on May 29th, 2010. I look forward to marketing and promoting my book here and elsewhere. I am already into my second writing project, working on a sequel which is based on Iraq and how friendship survive time and wars.
