Since the day Mrs Babcock taught me to write a "J" in her kindergarten class, I have been writing. I started by writing short poems about ice cream and tennis, two of my favorite things, and I guess I just never stopped. My earliest influences have been my teachers. Since elementary school, and right on through highschool, they have been behind me, supporting me, and telling me that I am talented. Teachers like Mrs. Daughterman in 4th grade, Mr. Heidabaugh in sixth grade, Mrs. Wilson in eighth grade, and Mrs. Meehan throughout highschool. They made me believe in my ability to communicate my thoughts and feelings through the written word and I will always be greatful to them.

I am the mother of two beautiful girls, Summer Laurel and Ariel Delaney, who I adore. They, and my eight year marriage to the love of my life, Thomas, are my two biggest achievements. I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Creative Writing from the University of North Florida. While in college, I was awarded the Andre Norton scholarship for aspiring writers.

I write a little of everything. I like poetry, but I am trying to focus on short stories and magazine articles. I am also working on a novel called, "Behind Closed Eyes," and my ebook, "To Live the Dream, One Must Wake Up!" will be on sale in the next few months. Writing is something I feel I have to do and I am very happy that you are interested and that I can share my work with you!!
