Dreams take us to extraordinary places; our great escape to possibilities.
Although non-fiction is about reality, I think writing fiction is a way of announcing life as we prefer it to be; an outlet that allows us to be creative and responsive to changes in our changing society. We know about the negative things in life because we see or experience them firsthand, but the positive is all about faith and what we don't always see.
I have been influenced by my mother who read to me passed the age of twelve, by my school teachers who allowed me to write and read to my class, and by other family members.

I was an honor graduate in my high school class, and I received an honorable mention in college for a poem that I wrote, "I Will Still Believe in Love."
Since, I have been featured in several anthologies where selected poems have been published: LOOKING THRU A GLASS DARKLY, 1st Edition by the Fine Arts Poetry Forum in Dallas, Texas; ON THE THRESHOLD OF A DREAM, Volume II by The National Library of Poetry, and THE GOLDEN TREASURY OF GREAT POEMS by the World of Poetry Press. I have been recognized through my church, other organizations and poetry societies for my inspirational writing.
SMU In Dallas, Texas and the Public libraries in Dallas and Richardson, Texas, were kind enough to place my first book, WHEN THE WHEELS OF FAITH QUIT TURNING on their book shelves.
