I work for a vitamin manufacturer, volunteer teach high school students, raise my three children (under the auspices of my beautiful wife), and for a few minutes each day escape from reality to wander the roads of my imagination.
Since books cost too much I started my own publishing company to bring books to the market cheaper than the big houses.
I have written three books in a middle-grade series I call the "Traveling Trunk Adventures.” The books follow two time-traveling brothers in a series of comical adventures scattered across history. From the New World, to King Arthur's court, to the Great Wall of China, the Traveling Trunk Adventures are sure to capture the imagination, free the spirit of adventure, and tickle the funny bone of every reader, young and old alike.
I teamed up with an amazing illustrator (Nick Serr), and together we seek to conquer the Giants of the publishing world. Well, maybe not defeat them (as I wouldn’t mind being published by one of those mighty Giants), but at least to show the world that a great book can make it with or without their blessing. Is self-publication the “kiss of death”? We shall see by the summer of 2010 as I prepare to print the first few books in my series and bring them to market.
