I started traveling the world when I was 18, first stop, Vietnam. Then Thailand. I spent one year in each country. Then when I got out of the military, I flew back to Thailand with a one-way ticket and no job prospects and ended up staying another ten years. That decade shaped my worldview and gave me some deep insight into the injustices of the people of the world.

Background Information

I'm a world traveler and enjoy being a literary warrior for the voiceless oppressed souls of the world. I lived in Thailand for over a decade and it amazed me how the Thai people claim to love their king, while the king installs a military dictatorship that abuses, abducts, terrifies, extorts money and labor, kidnaps, tortures and murders the good Thai people. If anyone voices a negative opinion about the Royal Family or the military the next event will be an abduction and disappearance.

This is why I wrote Thai Redemption, to make the global community aware of these injustices. This has been going on for sixty years. The Thai king is the oldest reigning king on the planet, taking the throne in 1947, and just happens to be the riches. With sixty years experience that's certainly no surprise. He governs one of the poorest countries in the world.

But this king is no fool. He has successfully hoodwinked millions of people into believing that he cares about them. It used to be that the greater majority of Thai people loved this king, and a great number of Thais still do, but that number has been decreasing over the course of the last three decades. There is a rising swell within the Thai society of people who want a democratic government, and to do away with the king. The king is 81-years old, and has a playboy son who the people dispise. The whispers are swirling about within Thai society that when this king dies, the people will rise up and take what is rightfully theirs.

Thai Redemption plays out that inevitable fate in a work of fiction, a literary exploration of "What if" this happened?  Thai Redemption is the anatomy of a revolution with a love story interwoven into the delicate fiber of a story about a father and a son, and a father and a daughter, and about a people fighting for the right to live.

Accomplishments

I'm a working class freedom fighter writer, and my primary achievement is being 63-years old, sane and a free man. Having seen how easy is it to fall victim to the multitudes of vices, injustices in the world, I truly do consider being healthy, sane and free an achievment. As far as certifications, I'm a militarily trained Civil Engineer, and I don't have any awards to speak of.

Additional Information

I'm excited about Publish American publishing my book, Thai Redemption. I wrote this book in 1992-1997, put it on the shelf for a few years, picked it back up and revised it, polished it, and its been my baby. The characters are my friends. I know them intimately. The timing was right, as the political unrest in Thailand is coming to a head, its time the Thai people were heard around the world. I love the Thai people. They are the most fun loving, hospitable souls on the planet. And its truly sad the way their own government treats them.

He is a professor and journalist, and was forced into exile because he practiced his freedom of speech in Thailand. Rather than being jailed, he went into exile and now lives in England, from where he voices his political oppositional front against the Thai autocratic dictators on the web.
