From 1980 to 2005 I would surface from the street life off and on for about six months to a year. I was still unstable in my recovery but I volunteered work for the following Agencies: Job Corps Women In Community Services, Legal Aide Advisory Board of Greater Los Angeles, The Congress of Racial Equality (C.O.R.E., Compton NAACP, Save Our Sons, California Coalition Opposed to Three Strikes, I wrote suggestion to the Los Angeles Board of Supervisors (Honorable Gloria Molina was the Chairperson at that time) suggestions that were accepted and implemented in the Los Angeles County Department of Public Social Services Computer System called The Leader System that started at the end of 2000, to help end homelessness, and to help first time parents, helping to fight to end child abuse etc.
Prison Ministries (Beth Ross) First United Methodist Church, When I got STABLE in recovery (GOING ON SIX YEARS, NOT LONG ENOUGH SMILE) I worked for Central Living Center (Recovery Home), The Crenshaw House (Sober living), California Drug Treatment Program, Staffed Hospitals, worked as a Community Organizer. In 2006 I was invited to speak on behalf of Prostitution (with no other crime committed), (sending women to a program who wanted help, where they could get Counseling, assistance with returning to school, employment and housing instead of jail time) by Former Assemblyman Mark Ridley-Thomas Legislative Aide, Ivonna Smith at a Stakeholders meeting. 2008 Invited to Assemblyman Mike Davis Office to speak on behalf of monies for mental health programs for Youths and Adults.
2009 assisted Attorney for WLCAC, Watts Labor Community Action Committee re-entry program with assisting to get peoples criminal records expunged/dismissed.2009 attended a retreat and Board hearing in Sacramento for the State of California Network of Mental Health Clients with suggestions to help Youth and Adult Mental Health Programs. 2009 Worked at Manchester Square Sober Living Home as a Residential Manager

And now working on my next book that is soon to be released IN 2011, "DON'T IGNORE MY CHILD'S CRIES" (and Dont Ignore Mines Either)will share a little bit about it later.
