Gloria DeGaetano is the founder and CEO of The Parent Coaching Institute, (PCI), the originator of the parent coaching profession. An internationally and nationally acclaimed educator, author, keynote speaker, and noted media literacy expert , Ms. DeGaetano, has over 30 years experience working with children, teachers, and parents as a classroom teacher, reading specialist, district administrator, university instructor, speaker and consultant.

Ms. DeGaetano conducts trainings for school districts, social service agencies, and parent/community organizations throughout the world. Her latest book Parenting Well in a Media Age, has won the 2007 i-Parenting Media Award for excellence. Ms. DeGaetano’s books and articles have been translated into Spanish, German, Danish, Romanian, Korean, and Turkish.
