G'day, some years ago I was diagnosed with cancer. Prior to getting sick I couldn't get two words to rhyme together. After overcoming the illness, I found I was able to write poetry, about friends, family, life experiences, and things in general. This I found, was the best way of expressing what I wanted and needed to say. Some poems were sentimental, some were sarcastic but mostly they were lighthearted and made people laugh. My sister suggested I write a childrens book, and so The Adventures of Wally, the sausage dog crossed with a poodle and Felix the frog, came to be. My book is two unlikely mates that go on an epic adventure around the Australian countryside deciding there is more to see than their own backyard. Along the way they meet different Australian animals and explore new places. My book is beautifully illustrated and is an easy book to read by parents, grandparents and competent young readers. I'm sure anyone who is young and younghearted will enjoy these stories.
