Background Information

That Baby Woke Me Up, AGAIN! and That Mama is a Grouch were both inspired by true experiences.

My children were terrible sleepers. I felt this was a common situation in many households. In That Baby Woke Me Up, AGAIN, I wanted to create something humorous that would help siblings of the noisy babies cope with all of the late-night awakenings and also reassure them that it wouldn't last forever.

That Mama is a Grouch was inspired as I tripped over my children's toys in the family room and broke my toe. I was one grouchy Mama! It is a funny book that will teach kids to clean up and behave. It will also teach parents that kids are, well kids, and messes and slip-ups are to be expected.

In addition to being a children's author, I am a professional musician who plays and teaches violin and viola. I live in Loveland, Ohio with my husband and two children.

Accomplishments

I was named 2009-2010 VIP of the year by Cambridge Who's Who. My book, That Mama Is a Grouch, was honored as a finalist in the Parenting/Family category of the 2010 USA Book News Awards. It was also honored as a finalist in the Parenting category of the 2011 International Book Awards.

Additional Information

I am working on a series for middle grade readers. The first book, Bubba and Squirt's Big Hole to China, is complete.
