Debra Chapoton's thriller, EDGE OF ESCAPE is a hot item for Nooks and Kindles and will be published in Germany in spring 2012 under the title SOMMERFALLE. Her new non-fiction Christian work, CROSSING THE SCRIPTURES, is now available online in paperback and ebook. She began her writing career with a children's series for kids ages 9 to 12 (THE SECRET IN THE HIDDEN CAVE, MYSTERY'S GRAVE, BULLIES AND BEARS). A children's fantasy, A TICK IN TIME, and the children's chapter book, BIGFOOT DAY, NINJA NIGHT, are also available online.Her most recent children's chapter books include the TUNNELS series including NICK BAZEBAHL AND THE FORBIDDEN TUNNELS, NICK BAZEBAHL AND THE RED TUNNELS, NICK BAZEBAHL AND THE WORMHOLE TUNNELS and NICK BAZEBAHL AND THE MINING TUNNELS. She is currently working on a young adult novel.
Debra has a passion for grammar, word origins, puns and the errant apostrophe. Currently she is learning ancient Hebrew, reading a variety of authors and working on a new young adult novel.She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish and a Master of Arts degree in Teaching English. She has taught all levels of Spanish and various classes of English including Basic Writing, Creative Writing, Fantasy Fiction and American and English Literature.
She and her husband live in a full log home in the middle of 62 acres of beautiful woods.
