I am an avid dog lover, I love writing and can't think of a better way to work than to have my dogs as co-workers. They always seem to agree with me and never have a bad word to say!
Buddy's story in "Finally Home:Lessons on Life from a Free-Spirited Dog" was written for many reasons. For one, his funny and crazy antics have always brought a smile to my face even when I have been in the worst of moods. Some of the things that he did were just outrageous and it was a ball to just watch him when he didn't know he was being watched.
I was sure that his book would bring a smile to other's people's faces as well, especially those who are dog lovers or who have had similar experiences while training rambunctious dogs.
The second reason was because although Buddy found a family that loves him beyond belief, not all dogs are lucky enough to get that chance. There are so many abandoned and neglected animals out there. If just one person will stop and think about the welfare of a dog after reading my book, then it was all worth it.
I volunteer for a few dog rescue groups, as well as donate a portion of the proceeds from "Finally Home," "My Dog Does That!" "Unwanted Dreams," "Evil's Door," "Phobia" and "Final Journey-Buddys' Book" to rescue organizations that I strongly believe in.
Typically, I read the thriller/horror genre and have been noted to have somewhat of a "dark" mind. For years, I have had all of these story ideas floating around, taking up space and finally have decided to put them down on paper, hence producing books of the thriller genre, "Unwanted Dreams," "Evil's Door" and "Phobia" and Faces of Deception!!
Evil's Door now available on Kindle and Nook and paperback!
Though I am originally from New York, I now live in Las Vegas, NV with my husband, my three dogs and the beautiful memory of my golden retriever, Buddy (the star of Finally Home) who passed away from Sarcoma In August of 2010.
