Well, I use writing as an outlet. Some people have dancing or drawing, but I have writing. As far back as I can remember, I would always be writing little stories. Most of them true, some were not. I remember the first "book" I ever wrote. I couldn't have been older than 8. It was called Red Beard. It was kind of like a Scooby-Doo type thing. It had something in it from the movie Carrie...Yeah! It wasn't my finest work, but you could say it launched my creative juices into overdrive. Since then, I've developed numerous stories, but none of them took. That is until I thought up Monique Anderson, or Moni for short (That's the title of my book. Shameless plug!). 

My mom has always supported me, so I think I'll dedicate my first book to her memory. She was the one who read just about every story I put down on paper.

I look forward to getting some advice on how to improve my writing and how to get published. I don't know for sure, but I think I just realized my passion..
