Ken Koenen, LLM
Ken Koenen is a California attorney currently practicing in Paso Robles, California. His areas of practice are Real Estate Transaction Law, Estate Planning, Probate, Business and Tax Law, with an emphasis on real estate taxation. He has helped hundreds of people who are dealing with the hardships of foreclosure and short sales. He has also been involved in dozens of cases in which fraudulent acts of lenders and mortgage brokers.
Prior to taking the Bar Exam, Ken was an active real estate agent and broker in Pleasanton starting in 1991, another down market. He worked for Mason-McDuffie, Coldwell Banker and Re/Max while in Pleasanton, and then joined Zip Realty in 1999, shortly after obtaining his Brokers license. He was active in the real estate community, including being president of the Pleasanton Valley Marketing Association in 1996.
Ken became licensed to practice law in June of 2001. He maintained his ties to the real estate community, and has provided numerous educational seminars throughout the Bay Area and California. He has a Masters Degree in Tax Law, and has consulted with hundreds of clients facing the prospects of foreclosure and short sales.
He brings the common sense reality of having been in the “real estate trenches” with the reality of the law. His new book, “The American Dream Becomes a Global Nightmare” explores some of the causes of today’s economic crisis, not only at the top, but at the bottom of the pyramid, as well as the effect it has had on many of the clients that he has worked with.
