I am a pure "A-Type" with my fingers in many pies. Novels, short stories and a column, active in multiple writers groups. Can't figure out how to use my spare 2 minutes each day.

Background
Information
|
|
My background is extremely varied, having been involved in such diverse fields as Interior Design, Barter, Marketing and Promotion, Travel and more. My wonderful writers groups and the conferences and workshops I've attended have had a major influence on my writing. I went from a magazine article writer to a novelist, but when I first made the transition I thought I knew how to write fiction. Boy, did I have a lot to learn.
With four novels and multiple short stories currently in print, a column on Examiner.com and all of the workshops I've developed, I finally feel justified in saying I write fiction. The funny Silver Sisters Mysteries, short stories and my column under Morgan St. James, and my just launched romantic suspense Twist of Fate series writing as Arliss Adams.
Whew! I'm making myself tired.

Accomplishments
|
|
I have written three award winning short stories and the Silver Sisters Mystery, A Corpse in the Soup, was named best audio book mystery in 2007 by USA Book News.
I have certifications that have nothing to do with writing, like Member of the Institute of Residential Marketing back in my interior design days when I was Director of Design for residential developers.
My crowning achievement in my mind is getting past being too shy to speak to developing and giving writer's workshops that consistently get high marks. And my palms are no longer sweaty nor does my voice shake!

I write a Writers Tricks of the Trade column for the Las Vegas edition of Examiner.com. You can find it under Entertainment-Books every Thursday. I've gotten so many pats on the back that I'm turning it into a book along with a lot of material not on the site.
