Mr. Smith is a graduate of Bowling Green State University, where he studied psychology, philosophy and religion. He began a business career in New York City in 1969 with a bright future looming on the horizon until a flaw in genetics took him on a bumpy ride down the road of panic disorder and alcoholism. THE ROAD TO FORT WORTH was born out of his deep sense of gratitude for his recovery and a desire to share his experience, strength and hope with others affected by co-existing disorders.
He published a second novel in 2012, LITTLE BOY BLUE ALPHA, a science fiction tale inspired by men he encountered from The Manhattan Project and an Air Force General, who gave the order to drop the bomb on Hiroshima and later commanded the base where the Roswell Incident occurred. A resident of the Gulf Coast of Florida, he is currently working on a volume of poetry and exploring film-making as both an historical and creative medium.
