Dr. White is a veteran teacher of English and related subjects, including creative writing and public speaking. She retired from teaching in 2008 after a thirty-five year career, and is now focusing her time on writing. She is currently working on the posthumous memoir of her parents, based on their daily letters written during World War II. Her father was an Episcopal priest who served as a chaplain in the 8th Division, 3rd Army, under General George S. Patton. She lives in Florida.

Dr. White earned her BA Degree at the University of South Carolina, and both her Masters and Doctoral Degrees from The University of North Florida. She has won numerous awards, including International Poet of Merit in 2001 by the International Society of Poets, and several Who's Who Awards.
