I entered my first poetry contest at the age of nine, and I have been writing ever since. My first published piece was a short story entitled The Case of the Thoughtful Thief published in a short lived online magazine. Now, my first children's book, Fern Valley, has been published by Tate Publishing.
As a child I was always an avid reader. My brother spent his days at the public pool, and I spent mine at the public library! My father always encouraged us to read and that is where my belief comes from that Kids Who Read Can Do Anything.
