Wrting has always been apart of me since I can remember as well as reading. The first book I read cover to cover was Flyy Girl by Omar Tyree. Since reading his book I have made reading apart of my everyday life and when I knew I could add a little more erotica to my books. My favorite author of all time is Terry McMillan. She is such a strong encouraging black woman. Not afraid to get in your face and tell you what is and what isn't and I love that about her. Her personality is strong in her characters also. There isn't a book by Terry or a movie inspired by one of her books that I have missed. Truly an inspiration.
I write african american fiction novels and have recently published my first novel "In the Presence of Karma." It's a short novel about a woman named Karma Patryce Belmont who is only looking for love and we all know that when you look for it, you most likely won't find it. Anyway she goes through the ups and downs of love only to find that what she was looking for was right in front of her the whole time only that love that she longs for is forbidden for obvious reasons. I'm not going to give away to much of the story but I am very proud of this work being that I started writing this particular story in 2005 and now finally 5 years later it's been released and it being received real well locally.
