Although I have always written since childhood, I never thought that I could pursue writing as an occupation though the act of writing occupied me constantly. I incorporated writing into everything that I did until finally I realized that there was a message that I was missing;I needed to write, not do everything else. My greatest influences were the storytellers in my life; my Uncle, my Mom, my Grandmother, even my elementary school librarian. All bards of storytelling. To engage, to enthrall, to question, to challenge and to feel from the written word, that is my goal and purpose in writing. Another inspiration comes from the classic movies of the 30's and 40's. They were so heavily censored that they had no choice but to rely on good writing and good storytelling. That is why they are classics today and timeless. If one cannot read and feel then what is read are but words; it is the story that gives them life. And that is what I am; a storyteller.
