I arrived in Arkansas twenty five years ago. My mother and I came down to get away from the winters. We started a florist business, and settled into the community. I had always been an artist, but oils and porcelain was my palette of choice. In Kansas, that worked fine. In Arkansas, it didn't. Took the oils too long to dry. Soon I transferred to watercolors and teaching. My students talked me into writing. The stories we would tell around the lesson table soon developed into books. And the writing career took off from there. A trip back to college for a refresher course, and the introduction to a wonderful friend, a retired Dean of English, and writing took on a whole new meaning. I have retired from the florist business, however I still teach watercolors weekly, and write constantly. I have four books in print, three of them are children's books. The Adventures of Wee Three, The Adventures of Wee Four, and my newest, Molly and Me. Then I have another side I love to walk on, the murder mystery side. My book from that side is Why Not and The Perfect Murder. I am currently working on another murder that I hope to have out in the spring of 2011. I enjoy life in Arkansas, I share it with my three cats, Sassy, Mystique and Joker. They are all characters in my children's books.
