Hi, I'm Brian, the old man. They call me the old man not because I'm that old but because I used to manage my son and other teenagers and the nickname just stuck.
In 2007, I was bed ridden. In February 2009, I almost died from congestive heart failure and respiratory failure. However, as I laid in a coma and they were praying over me my vital signs began to improve. Now I have lost over 140 pounds and I am out of my wheelchair and able to walk again. Praise the Lord!
I share my journey through my writing and poetry hoping I can inspire others toward a happier and healthier lifestyle and a closer relationship to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. As he said, "You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." Matthew 5:14-16
