With joy, determination, and a touch of madness -- okay, malicious glee -- Kerry writes reality-bending thrillers, even when the voices don't make him do it. All six of his novels have a surreal, bizarre, supernatural, or paranormal element primary to the plot, and all are character-driven. He says, "My protagonists are my children, and I love them as dearly as I despise my antagonists... even when I have to kill them."
His friends and colleagues say that if he were rich, he'd be eccentric, but since he's not rich, he's just plain freakin' crazy. He's been known to often cackle, which resembles screams from looming shadows that sound like rustling leaves blown by a brisk chill wind through a bleak deserted cemetery in the dead of the darkest winter's night. Or something similar.
Either way, it's freaky as hell. When he cackles, that is. Which happens a lot.

"I can honestly say that Kerry is one of my favorite authors. I've read one full novel and quite a bit of another, as well as some of his short fiction. Kerry knows how to grip the reader at the onset and not let go. His characters are fully fleshed out and endearing...or terrifying, depending on their role. As a fellow writer/author, I can honestly and enthusiastically recommend his works to anyone who likes to read. (How's that for too many adverbs? But Kerry deserves them all!)"
"Kerry is a craftsman. He excels in layering his stories in ways that are magical and compelling. I enjoy his writing and look forward to celebrating his success when the publishing world wises up and stops pushing books by wannabe rock stars and failed politicians and puts Kerry's work on the shelf for all of us to enjoy."
"Anyone who enjoys the suspenseful and intense psychological thrillers of Poe, Hitchcock, Lovecraft, Straub, Barker, Koontz or King will be blown away by the fantastic and frighteningly vivid works of Kerry Alan Denney. The artistic fervor with which he illuminates his protagonists compels the reader to identify with them from a deeply compassionate perspective. Unequivocally, the authenticity and complexity of his characters are immensely captivating and set his work apart from that of the typical authors of his genre. I genuinely believe that Kerry's boundless imagination and unfathomable devotion to his passions, writing and music, will ultimately result in tremendous success. Read, follow, or get out of the way!"
