Julian Gallo lives in New York City. His poetry has been published in over 40 journals throughout the United States, Canada and Europe. Some favorite authors include Henry Miller, Juan Goytisolo, Ernest Hemingway, Jack Kerouac, Hubert Selby Jr., Charles Bukowski, Massimo Carlotto, Niccolo Ammaniti, Louis-Ferdinand Celine, Juan Carlos Onetti, Mario Benedetti, Federico Garcia Lorca, Reinaldo Arenas, Pier Paolo Pasolini and about a billion others. A voracious reader, my tastes run the gamut, everything from Literary fiction to Poetry to Noir and just about everything else in between. "A good book is a good book", no matter what the genre.
