There is only one complete novel available for now; The Day of the Nefilim, and the details are here: http://dminoz.posterous.com/pages/the-day-of-the-nefilim . TDotN is SF, but I'm no longer sure at all (in other words, as sure as I was a couple of months ago), that my future writing will be SF.
I am leaning increasingly towards Magical Realism, except with a tweak, of course. How could there not be a tweak -- I think what I'm interested in at the moment could be described as Magical Historical Realism.
I can't stand that modern, gritty realism that is so popular these days. What do those people want from their writing?
My favorite book is usually the one I've just finished or am in the middle of. So, for example, you can put Felix Gilman's Halfmade World up there for now, as well as Beowulf. Plus a lot of what I read doesn't involve finishing books! On that account let's include "The Vintage Book of Dissent", by Michael Rosen and David Widgery.
My favorite authors: Catherynne M. Valente, Charles Dickins, Felix Gilman, Gail Carriger, Neil Hartley -- all for different reasons, thank goodness.
