Daniel has been writing screenplays and articles for years, but only recently began writing novels. A fan of thrillers and suspense of all sorts, the decided to put an idea that he had brewing in his mind for years to paper. A National Geographic article about piracy in Indonesia led Daniel to research Somali piracy years before it became front page news. Organically the story grew into his first novel: the Pirates of Aden.
Interest in human relationships led Daniel to a career in psychiatry, but interest in emotions, relationships and behavior was also what made him fall in love with writing.
Probably every book he has ever read has influenced Daniel's writing. Recent authors that he has read and loved are masters of the thriller: Dennis Lehane, Tom Robb Smith, John LeCarre.
His next novel, Form 25, a thriller about a patient in a psychiatric hospital in the near future, will be coming out soon.
