Hey, a person may want to travel, have books as friends, but your imagination is the most important thing. I have never stopped looking for the knight in shining armor.
As a senior, grandmother always wanted to finish a book I started in my 30's. Nance Drew was my favorite. I wrote and took photos of my adventures in real life. Rosie and the Treasure of The Three Nuns is the cumalation of most of my life and my personality as a young teenager. Just because I am a senior-ette does not mean I am done making a mark in my life. Still looking for adventure around the corner.
I also have been a Chaplain for the Gideans auxilory, and educator on substance abuse. As we seniors age we become vintage like fine expensive wine. My grandmother was my role model as she was born in the 1800's and still active in her 80's. I have took a licking but kept on ticking kind of girl.
My faith has been a great motivator to keep me going and have used my losses of one of my sons, mom and husband within 4 months. Life can be great, a motivator or you can let it make you think you are failing. My book is coming out in about 6 months. Tate publishing contacted me, I don't know where they got my email address but my book is coming out.
If you want to write, don't give up.......ever.
