I was dissatisfied with the efforts of many to understand the housing bubble and crash, and the treatment of those who were caught in that web. And a web it is as credit scores have been ruined, retirement plans have been delayed, children and pets have suffered, and our institutions and standard of living are in jeopardy.
If any of you believe that the ponzi housing scam was not preplanned, you would be wiser if you read my works. If you read my works you will see that I am an outsider. I am looking at the crisis as one who has not been corrupted by the process. There are so many authors, and even esteemed professors, who have written nothing more than propaganda about the events that unfolded. Others have left out the most important causes and others are parroting the media, no doubt with the backing of that same media, owned by the wealthiest, with an agenda to defend the wealthiest.
I will admit that I have had my share of debt in my life. I raised four children while working at a government job that I considered thankless and demanding. But I have succeeded in raising those kids, and while they face a difficult environment, they are coping and moving forward, and in some cases prospering. This is a difficult time for new households to form, and people who can should help their children more than ever before. We are not in normal times for the nation.
My father lived debt free, a product of the World War 2 generation. The dollar was powerful, and the nation had recovered from the Great Depression. I remember that he once told me that Will Rogers was a great man. His greatness is revealed by the quote:
"I guess there is no two races of people in worse repute with everybody than the international bankers, and the folks that put all those pins in new shirts." Aug. 26, 1932 (from willrogerstoday.com)
Will Rogers was a farm boy, from the Cherokee nation in Arizona. He was the most influential pundit of his time, when the press was free and not bought by the banksters. He was not afraid to tell the bankers where to get off. And he saw that they threatened the nation, not unlike today. Will Rogers would have told Andrew Rice Sorkin that the banksters are not heroes, and I have said that if you start a fire and put it out you aren't worthy of being called a hero. Sorkin makes the central banksters into heroes and it is just plain wrong!
Most of those who attack government workers these days are being nothing more than propaganda peddlers for the most powerful movers of capital. Don't be fooled, because the talking points that have become widely accepted in our society are a form of subtle brainwashing, repeated over and over until they become fact. But they are not fact.
I believe I have enough evidence accumulated to affix blame for the ponzi housing bubble and affix blame for the propaganda that has accompanied it. Remember David Lereah, head of NAR, saying real estate rarely goes down? Remember his book with the picture of the house floating in the sky, which was a best seller? People believed this man, and he was just one. Many said you had to get into the real estate market before you would be left behind.
And please, do not think that this episode of predatory lending cannot happen again. It most certainly can happen if we do not educate ourselves and others. There is always danger regarding credit granted over long periods of time. We are not certain of the future of the 30 year mortgage, and sometimes I think that it will not succeed without hurt towards our government, or citizens and our tax burden.
Don't be fooled, you are being extorted by big investors, who want certainty and certain returns. The price you pay for everything, from gasoline to housing to foodstuffs is artificially inflated with spikes that occur through the very same churning and trading that occurred in the housing crisis. Yes, borrowers did the churn, but Wall Street set up the churn. And the central banks orchestrated the churn.
I hope that people would come away from this episode understanding that there is a casino, and it does not have the interests of common people as it's own interests. And because of this, it is a very dangerous world going forward.
I am excited to introduce the ebook Will Rogers From Great Depression to Great Recession. There is knowledge in this ebook about Will Rogers and about our government and financial community that everyone, every citizen in the USA, needs to understand.
