I grew up on a dairy farm, northwest of Towands, Kansas and wrote my first book in the second grade. Many years passed before a journalist suggested I write an article for the local newspaper. That sparked a thirty-year writing career that has provided much joy. Along the way, I also enjoyed a career as a travel agent from which I am now retired.
Five years ago, I enrolled in Bible Study Fellowship and have since graduated. It was through these classes that I added yet another form of writing career--the Christian market. Since, I have been fortunate to write for several Christian magazines, publications, and a Christian novel.
These days I devote all my time to writing and working for my church. If my writing touches one person in a positive way, I am truly grateful.
In 2010, AWOC publishers released my first devotional book, Devoted to Traveling. The book is a chronicle of my travels written with lessons learned.
In 2011, I published two ebooks available on Amazon.com and Smashwords.com. A Plane Tree in Provence which details the adventures, soul searching, and mischief of five women as they travel through Provence, France. (A secular novel which won first place in the Kansas Authors Club contest of 2011) It was published as a paperback book in May, 2012.
Angel on My Shoulder, (Christian Fiction Novel) is set in Brooklyn, New York and tells the story of Pringle Taylor, who is engaged to the wrong man, loses her job, and finds herself changing everything in her life.
In 2012, The Cape Elizabeth Ocean Avenue Society was released for Amazon Kindle and also as a paperback. This novel is secon in the Plane Tree Series and begins as the five women return home from their holiday in Provence. Find out what happens to Penny when she confronts her husband of having an affair.
