Born December 17th, 1952, at the Marine Corps Parris Island Hospital in Beaufort, SC, Glenn Parkhurst was destined to travel. Although Glenn’s “home” is Friendship, NY, Charleston, SC, Salt Lake City, UT, Cape Canaveral, FL, and Zephyrhills, FL he has crisscrossed the United States several times and has visited each state in the United States for business or pleasure.
Glenn began by writing poetry for his ailing sister as she lost her battle with breast cancer.
Seeing the futility of the life he was living, Glenn quit his job and took an extended trip of volunteerism. The attempt at writing a book about his adventure led Glenn to start writing short stories, humor and novels.
Glenn has been published in Outdoor Life, Nights and Weekends, Tooele Transcript, and Short Humor.
We are not sure where Glenn is currently residing but wherever it may be we can be sure he is still working both for food and on his next story. Glenn may also be found hiking in the woods, working out at the gym, or finding ways to get out of work to travel.
