I was living in Moscow, buying blini on the street and enjoying ballet at the Bolshoi when the idea for Jaguar Sees: the Lacquer Box smashed into my brain. We're back in the States now, but I still enjoy ballet, blini and a good thriller.

When I was four or five, I used to fill yellow lined paper with squiggles that I was sure would magically transform into magnificent prose. My handwriting never improved, but blogging allows me to write with the same abandon. While we were living in Moscow I got the idea for Jaguar Sees: The Lacquer Box. I used my knowledge of Moscow, travel and my husband's work in nuclear non-proliferation to weave my tale of suspense with a paranormal twist and a touch of humor.

Jaguar Sees: The Lacquer Box
Claire Milton, the trailing wife of a nuclear disarmament specialist, and her Jaguar spirit guide are hunted through the streets of Moscow to the barren wastelands of Siberia for the contents of a lacquer box. They must escape these attackers, who have their own gruesome spirit animals. If they fail, more than just Claire’s life is at stake: terrorists will have nuclear weapons.
