Everything I write comes from what's around me. I'm receptive to my world. I write with a lot of compassion. I write first to make a record of things the way I see them and second to arrange these records in such a way that some kind of truth-nugget can be extracted and, if you're hungry, eaten. Love and loss are the alpha and omega of my writing. There is love and loss everywhere.
