Loraine has been a writer and educator for over 20 years. She has taught in the public school system, private school sector and has experience with home education. She has provided editing services for an international corporation, SEO articles (including business and travel guides) for industry-leading web content providers, and dramatic writings for educational institutions.
Based on an interest in diet and nutrition, Loraine turned her writing focus to the area of natural health. Extensive research and hands-on experience growing and preparing organic herbs and produce beneficial to the body, laid a foundation for the writing of the book The Complete Guide to Growing and Using Wheatgrass: Everything You Need to Know Explained Simply — Including Easy-to-Make Recipes (Atlantic Publishing Company, 2011). Although a primary interest is health, Loraine enjoys learning and writing about other topics as well, especially as pertains to personal development in herself and others.
Loraine holds a bachelor's degree in Communications from Duke University and a master's degree in Communications Design from Pratt Institute. She is also a recipient of an advanced diploma from the Institute of Children's Literature in West Redding, Connecticut. Loraine currently lives in New York with her husband and five children.
