I have been working as a Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in addiction treatment for over 20 years. I am also the developer and current program coordinator for the Alcohol and Drug Studies Program at San Jose City College. After over 20 years of therapy and training therapists, I still made a disaterous relationship decision with a business partner, and lost everything. As a result of the pain from this loss, I explored and then created a three-dimensional approach to treating Codependency. It involves exploring early attachment issues, identifying the anxious and avoidant behaviors that result, and connects this with the subsequent adrenal system break-downs that result from a lifetime of relationship stress and reactivity. Ultimately, the most painful time in my life led to a level of healing I did not think was possible.
