B ED and MA from Sydney Uni, Ph D in Special Education from Wollongong Uni. Worked with behaviourally disturbed kids. Before that with reluctant readers and kids not greatly endowed with intellectual excellence. Always strived to make their school experiences meaningful.
My Christian beliefs and my family keep me grounded and focussed about what is important. My husband likes to fish so when he's out in the boat I get to write. We also play golf frequently. We have five funtastic grandchildren and just relish time with them. In between, we do a great deal of travelling.
Ended my teaching career with six years of freelance journalism. This was exciting and fun and I contributed regularly to four travel magazines (in my comfort zone) and one pottery magazine (which was definitely outside said zone). Then I started writing books.
My first four books (a series) are designed specifically for reluctant readers, especially boys, aged 8-12 years. I knew that good readers and girls would probably read them anyway. The first two are already published and I have every reason to believe that my publisher will proceed with books 3 and 4. Now I am beginning to write my first adult novel and would like some feedback.
