"Read, read, read. Read everything -- trash, classics, good and bad, and see how they do it. Just like a carpenter who works as an apprentice and studies the master. Read! You'll absorb it.
Then write. If it's good, you'll find out. If it's not, throw it out of the window."
— William Faulkner

Background

Influenced by Hemingway, Faulkner, Wolfe, Plath, Neruda, Cervantes, Auster, and pretty much any cerebral author known or not. I enjoy Latin poets and authors as they speak of life in such absolutes of beauty and death. Like most writers I have several "children" (manuscripts) that are in various states of completion. I have spent most of my life writing either as a newspaper journalist and/or photographer. I feel that I am at the point in my career that allows me to truly write in emotional terms after having lived a bit and failed in love and work. Those travels and travails are necessary to the writers toolbox. I enjoy writing poetry and short stories.
