I worked for ten years with homeless people before I went into teaching and in all my work I have found a wealth of fascinating people and their stories are fantastic.  I was inspired to create a fantasy world where I could discover a wealth of characters.  From a Psychological perspective I have enjoyed placing them in different situations and seeing how they react.  I have thoroughly enjoyed experimenting with different kinds of writing and  tend bounce my ideas off fellow writers in a local writing group.  I also undertook an Open University course in creative writing, where my tutor, a published author herself, gave me guidance and support.  Writing is now a haven for me.  I feel that I couldn't live without it.
