I was born in a small town in Wisconsin but grew up mostly in the Chicago suburbs. Later in life I grew tired of the city rush and decided I wanted a more laid back atmosphere with friendly people. I found it in Tennessee. The country is beautiful and the people are wonderful and friendly; just what I was looking for. So here I am! I hope you enjoy my poems.

Background Information

I love writing poetry and short stories in my spare time. My poems are influenced by happenings in the world around us; some good, some bad and some sad. I also hope to make a difference and shed light on things that we, as Americans, can and should change.

You will see that I write mostly about child abuse. This is my most hated subject. I've seen the face of abuse and it is hideous. I feel for the children and hope, that in some way, someone who cares will read my work and help to stop this terrible wrong.

Accomplishments

The only thing I am attempting to achieve is raising 2 wonderful grandchildren. No certificates or awards for that- ha ha :)

Additional Information

I have one story published in "A Cup Of Comfort For Christians" and another story in "A Cup Of Comfort Book Of Prayer" due to be released in the fall of 2007.
