Well, my name's King. I was born in the 90's. I went to a school in Nigeria. I started school @ the age of 2. Necessity made me self-reliant, and maybe prematurely ambitious. But I'm just like every other person out there. All I wanted was what I never had.

Background Information

A BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF YOURSELF!
Hahah.. :) Well, my name's King. I was born in the 90's.
I went to a school in Nigeria. I started school @ the age of 2. Necessity made me self-reliant, and maybe prematurely ambitious. But I'm just like every other person out there. All I wanted was what I never had.

CHALLENGES?
Well... Like a lot of other people, I've had my own a-bit-more-than-fair share of the ugly side of life. I grew up with my mother, step-father, and 7 sisters (Only two of whom are my biological sisters) in a community where respect is judged by the size of your purse. I wasn't the only son of my mother, but I'm the only surviving son. Hahahah.. I know what you're thinking :) Being the only surviving son, I must've had lots of parental love and care. But no, the reverse was the case. My step-father made sure of it. He made life unbearable for me.
I had a very lonely childhood. I was constantly locked up in the house. No TVs, no toys, no games. Just my thoughts and me. The only friends I had were the ones I made @ school. Returning back home each afternoon was like returning back to a world of darkness and gloom. It was real torture for a little boy with a mind bursting with life and energy like I was.
Years later, about the age of 13 or 14, I decided to rebel against the circle of limitation and boredom I grew up in. I was tired of being locked up, of seeing my mates engage in beautiful games while all I could do was watch from the window, I was tired of it all. I wanted a life much brighter than the one I lived. I needed a change and I knew it. That decision was not without its accompanying consequences; I was beaten, slapped, kicked, locked up, starved, and even chained. But being a very strong-willed and stubborn boy, they weren't enough to deter me :)
Situations forced me into the hard life of the streets. I had no father nor brother to stand up for me, and because I had to survive, I learned to stand up for myself and fight for what's mine. I became a fighter. I have a natural strength and it helped me in the long run. I lived on the streets, slept on the streets, and fed off the streets. Hunger was my constant companion. Believe me, it wasn't easy. There were those fights too. When someone will, for a reason no one cared to know, just get up and claim a right to shoes you just bought of which you still have a receipt in your hand, and you just have to give them to him or fight to save what's yours. Proper definition of the term, 'Survival of the fittest' :) We did not fight with our hands or legs, we fought with our whole body. The game did not have a rule, everyone creates his/her own rule. Axes, knifes, matchetes, bottles, even forks and spoons, everything was a weapon. You just need to know how to use it. Never for once did I fight without spilling blood, that's a jinx that's yet to be broken. I was the only one amongst my friends who did not smoke, sniff, and take the liquid.. I just plainly refused to be led in that direction. I knew what I wanted from life. I never forgot my dreams and aspirations. I did not come to live on the streets, I came to pass through it. I was the youngest amongst my friends, but none of them dared raise an issue about me not smoking. You try it, and the next minute you'll be needing an ambulance.
I raised enough cash eventually and left the streets to pursue my dreams. It hasn't really been easy, but at least it's a lot better than before. I've had some hard times, but they've come together to make me the kind of person I am today :)

WOW! YOU WENT THROUGH THAT MUCH?
:) I know it's easy to talk with sorrows of the past of these things, as if with time I've grown better. But when I look back, I can remember that things were terrible then.

AW I JUST WONDERED. GREATEST STRENGTH?
Love.

GREATEST WEAKNESS?
Love (Don't wonder :))

WHAT ARE YOUR DREAMS FOR THE FUTURE?
I used to dream of a better world, but with time, I've come to know better. We are living in a dying world, but however it turns out, I intend to make a great and positive contribution to it in whatever way I can. I want to influence lives both near and far. I'm going to leave my mark on Mother Earth. If writing turns out to be the only way I can possibly achieve these dreams, then I'm going to use it to the its fullest capacity. I'm going to make a great change and difference in the art. I'm going to take it to unimaginable heights which will forever be recorded in the Chronicles of this world while posterity shall hardly believe it although attested by trillions.

WOW!! YOUR DREAM IS A GREAT ONE.
So is my driving force :)

WHAT ARE YOUR ACHIEVEMENTS SO FAR?
Well, looking back at my childhood till this moment, I can see a remarkable growth. I have a media agency which I own and manage my self, I've written a number of articles, short stories, and poems. Some of my articles have been published in Press Releases. I have an Expert Author rank in EzineArticles.com, one of the biggest article directories on the 'net. I'm presently working on a book and my first collection of poems. I also do Internet, network, and affiliate marketing part-time. These are the result of a process and the process is ongoinging.

WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY TO YOUR READERS?
I really want to thank you for your patience and time, and for every support you've given me. Without them, I don't think I'd reach this point. I still need your support and every help you can render to keep me going. Please don't forget to like my page http://facebook.com/KingSamuelBenson
