I come from a family of 12 children, joined the military at 17, and have spent the last 21 years circling the globe, most of it as a member of Uncle Sam's Misguided Children...
...I went from Private to Major, and along the way flew some planes (and jumped out of perfectly good ones) got a broken heart and a handful of interesting scars, and am probably responsible for giving a few of each as well...
I've lived in Saudi Arabia, Japan, and Indonesia - been to war and back, picked up a Master's degree, gave my bit of advice to senior Admirals, played some great rugby, and still found time to write a little.
