I've been an avid reader all my life, and throughout my career in public relations I've done a great deal of writing. I'm now a "woman of a certain age,"commited to writing my own stories. Time will tell whether they are interesting enough for people to want to read. For now, at least my book reviews are published....

One year later check in (2/12): 

• Completed 4 essays
• Received 18 rejections
• One editor said I drove another to tears in some areas of my essay, but it still wasn't chosen for publication

I guess I'm officially a writer now, or at least that's what I'm told. One published essay would be more convincing for me.

My anonymous friend (for work purposes) and I have started a blog. They're harder than we thought, but we're doing it anyway. Getting better little by little, we hope: elect2care.com.
