My name is J. Davis Illingworth, Jr. I retired from Toyota as the Senior Vice-President and Chief Planning and Administrative Officer of Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A. after twenty-eight years, and am now the Toyota dealer in Warsaw, Indiana. While at Toyota, I helped start the Lexus Division, ran the Toyota Division, and was recognized as one of the auto industry’s “Top 10 Newsmakers” by Automotive News.
My grandfather, father and brother were and are ministers in the Presbyterian Church, and I have been an active church member my entire life.
For many years I have been concerned about the future of the church and its relentless decline, and decided that I would dedicate the second half of my life to the expansion of God’s Word throughout the world.
Perhaps it’s time for a fresh approach to evangelism.
God of Hope is the result of years of prayer.
Rather than threaten and judge, God of Hope tells God’s story to people who have questions in ways that they can hear. It challenges and encourages seekers who are lost to listen to their hearts, believe, and become part of a community of believers.
God of Hope is also designed to equip the believer with tools and support as they work to spread God’s story throughout the world.
Please help me as I work to reverse the unacceptable decline of church membership both here and all over the world together, one heart at a time.
