Reading has been a life-long escape for me. I grew up an Army brat and lived as much or more out of the United States as in it. By 9th grade, I was in my 13th school. Book have always been my refuge.

I love romance, fantasy, urban fantasy, paranormal, thrillers, action adventure and so on. If it's a book, I'll read it. My Kindle has only worsened this habit. It interfers with my writing and to stay out of bankruptcy--the Kindle is crack for a reader--I buy an Amazon gift card on the first of the month.

Later, I worked as a CIA Intelligence Analyst. I've seen enough of this world to appreciate other worlds. Being an army brat and working for the CIA was great training for writing fantasy, paranormal, and futuristic romance--and understanding the warrior mentality. Amazing how real life and fiction overlap. And as in life, honor is always the ultimate seduction.
