Cali Gilbert is an award winning photographer who first stepped foot in Sausalito, California in 2002 and knew immediately that one day she would call this seaside community home. Having travelled the globe internationally since age five, Cali wanted to find a place to put down roots and settle. Sausalito captured her heart as it has with many.
Cali first had her work exhibited in 2010 as part of the Art of Peace Exhibit in conjunction with the Sausalito Art Festival. Since then, her work has exhibited throughout the Bay Area. In 2011, her piece ‘Human Nature’ was selected to tour California and New York City with the Peace Rises Exhibit, a world-wide collaboration of artists work to support the people of Sierra Leone.
Coming from a family of artists, Cali’s passion was developed at a young age, but only truly fulfilled in recent years. Today she operates Serendipity Promotions & Event Management, a full-service firm that supports youth programs and the non-profit sector of the San Francisco Bay Area. Serendipity’s mission is to raise funds for organizations that support youth programs in the areas of Sport, Music and the Arts.
Cali has always been an avid writer, journaling for over 20 years. In releasing her first book, It's Simply...Sausalito: An Inspirational Journey, she has been able to combine her passions of writing and photography to create this work of art.
Cali welcomed in 2012 by creating the It's Simply SERIES of books. She followed up It's Simply Sausalito with three more books in the series - It's Simply...GOLDEN: 75 Years of Inspiration (a tribute to the 75th Anniversary of the Golden Gate Bridge), It's Simply...SF: Our City By The Bay (a look at the city of San Francisco) and It's Simply Sailing: Our Voyage to the 2013 America's Cup (a look at youth sailing around the Bay Area with inspirational messages from Oracle Racing TEAM USA.
In September, 2013 Cali released her 5th book, the first in a series of Personal Development books, It's Simply Serendipity: Four Steps to Manifesting a Life of Bliss . In November, 2013 Cali decided to leave the Bay Area and move to Los Angeles, CA to start her own publishing company and grow as a writer. 2014 began with the release of Cali's 6th book, It's Simply Publishing: A Step by Step Guide To Writing, Marketing & Publishing Your First Book.
