I live in Cincinnati with my husband and two boys. I was a librarian for several years, before becoming a stay at home mom, small business owner and author.

I write historical fiction in the form of forbidden love stories. Mixed race romance from the American past provides heart wrenching conflict plus incredible pain, which equals amazing stories. Being in an interracial marriage myself, I enjoy exploring the topic. My novels are inspired by true stories, as well as my imagination.

I love to read romantic suspense, thrillers, historical fiction and nonfiction, true crime and biographies.

I'm a foodie, with a preference for spicy ethnic cuisines. And I like to cook and bake, as long as the recipes aren't too complicated! In addition to libraries and book stores, I enjoy movies, museums, antiquing and flea markets.

As an avid fitness fan, I run and walk, do Pilates and weight training. My morning runs provide time for generating story ideas, if I'm not listening to an audio book!

I graduated from Wittenberg University with a Bachelor's in English, and then attended Atlanta University and received a Master's in Library Science.



 

I published The Governor's Sons on Amazon, Barnes and Noble and Smashwords in mid-October. I'm currently working on my next book, Escape. It is part I of a trilogy entitled Unchained. I plan to publish it in mid-February.
