Leigh MacCallum, who was born in Washington DC, has spent most of his life traveling the US and the world, visiting or living in 49 states and 17 countries. As an anthropology major in college, he developed a fascination with the mythologies of the world. Either a Renaissance man or Jack-of-all-trades (depending, largely, upon your personal viewpoint), he has worked through the years as an intelligence operative, a teacher and a singer/songwriter, among a myriad of other occupations. He now lives in Wisconsin, where he comfortably labors over his novels, the settings and characters of which often reflect his lifelong interest in cultural mythology.
