Background Information

My father was a methodist preacher in southern alabama so I and my six brothers and sisters grew up in southern Alabama and northwest Florida  We lived in the time of the Great Depresssion but did not not realize it. We enjoyed all the fun that we had time for.  We liked to work in the garden, gatherring eggs and chickens for food.  We enmoyed digging worms and gathering other things for fishing..

That was a time when people respected each other and enjoyed helping each otherr.  The whole world as we new it was our proving ground and play ground.  One day we children cautht Daddy listening to the news. There were stories of people jumping out of windows and off tall brigdes to end theire lives.  We asked Daddy, "What is going on"?  He told us of the depression and people had lost their money and material things.  We haked him,"Why?"  He told us that they worship material theing and thought that their lives were finished.  Daddy tolid us that we had very little mone and material things. He said that we were poor but were very wealthy in things that were inportant. such as love for each other, our neithbors and enjoyed God's good earth.

After I retiered from medical practice I began to remember my earlist recolections of my childhood.  I put those memories in a journal and after I had journaled my memories through highschool they became the first  book, Our Proving Grund, Memories of the Good Old days".

One morning I began to meditate on the magnificant world tha God had created over many, many yeaars., the ommipotasnt God. and his creation. Then I begam tp ,edotate pm other ideas, pepple who had ginen themselves foe others, and all the holidays and thease meditations are in the book, "Meditationa On Life," to be released soon
