Poetry, prose, journaling and artwork extend human experience from the event to the story of the event. The stories last longer than we do. Seeing each other's stories connects us to the human condition and gives us companionship in the form of sharing. Reading and writing, making and listening to music, looking at the art that illuminates the values of life, our commonalities, for the most part keep us from feeling quite so alone.

I have had poetry in literary and trade journals and in Cosmopolitan magazine, but the real achievement I feel I've done is filling 63 journals and counting. It is the daily doings that matter.
