"I am a writer who came of a sheltered life. A sheltered life can be a daring life as well. For all serious daring comes from within." - Eudora Welty

Background Information

Aristotle once said: "What is a friend? A single soul dwelling in two bodies."

Why do we have friends? Why do we love? Because we have an inherent nature to connect our souls. Because, though we may rant, cry, hate the world and the people in it, the cold hard truth is that we need each other.

But the wise among us know how to discern those who want us from those who deserve us, and how to weed out the snakes.

The world is fluid, literally and figuratively; ever-changing with ebbs and flows; as we should all be.

My writing is an extension of that fluidity. It is through my eyes that I become the Everyman or Everywoman.

Writing, to me, is as much a social experiment as it is therapy; a bit like the deep-seated reflection that comes after a good cry; or sometimes it is more like a blinding, sudden-yet-obvious, head-smacking, epiphany revelation of self.

It's cathartic and it's crazy; it makes no sense and yet it makes perfect sense; it's twisted, it's ugly and it's beautiful all at the same time; and I love it.

The fickleness of human nature delights and perplexes me.

Will you join me on this journey?
